Performance monitoring is great at letting you know if a metric changes in a way you want to be notified about.
But it doesn't tell you why the metric changed. While Google Ads explanations can point you in the right direction (at the campaign level), this feature would load a table showing how related metrics changed in the same time frame, helping you understand the change in the metric you care about.
